“OUR FUTURE”

Does Ecological care is compatible with digital age?
By knowing that Datacenter have huge impact on the environment such like computers industries.

Our human history is moving to digital age, where our digital identity defined by our digital prints such like our social networks activities and interactions, such like our personal data clouds. This digital identity is becoming much more important than our physical identity. The consequence is that a new phenomenology is defined through a new paradigm where simulation will predominate reality. This phenomenon is modifying our relationship to nature where nature is perceived through datas and simulations

During this residency, I will go forward in this art research by developing this series as a Google Tilt Brush VR Installation, and VR still photo art.

For me this is important to show how simulation is now dominating reality, and a new social paradigm is emerging as our digital identity is much more important than our physical identity, and is defined through our digital prints as social networks and our personal data clouds. And that's why in our 'ecocyde ' time where nature is disappearing for the profit of simulation, the only survivors will be jellyfish and medusa as simulations?

Orb after artists

VR Installation, Google Tilt Brush

The point is to make a model in the virtual space a Famous painting by a master from XXth Century on 3D (Or famous movies and series scenes) and then, to realize with Google Tilt Brush in situ on this topos a work questioning the artist (or famous movies and series scenes) subject and energy in it. The telescoping of our two visual languages, one initiated in the 20th century (or the movie or the series one) and mine in 21th, will question the legacy of this artist.

And there is also a kind of irony because the artists (or movies and series scenes) chosen have become also a cliché by being the most plagiarized artist.

And in it, you may find a post-human piece as a virus of the work quoted on the other hand it allows audiences to engage in a new way with the art of the past.

“Our Future”

VR Installation, Google Tilt Brush

With global warming, the Ice pack is melting, and our world will disappear under water. It will be a world of medusas!
At the time of the post-painting, post media, this topic is depicted in an ironical way with a 4D Immersive painting produced with the VR application Google Tilt Brush.

On the other hand, the digital simulation, the video games are reaching reality, and in our future, our nature will be a digital one because the natural one would be destroyed...An ironical way by using the digital kitsch, these pieces are questioning this paradigm.

We may link this practice to the Dioramas one in Art History. Charles Baudelaire during the middle of 19th century was enjoying them for their brutal beauty ...

And the most famous Diorama of the XX the century is certainly the piece by Marcel Duchamp: "1° la chute d'eau / 2° le Gaz d'éclairage"

INSPIRATION NOTE:

As you may see on my website, I use a variety of media from painting to new media, because in my life I think of the world isn’t as linear, but as a structure of a real-world with parallel universes. As an artist, I have to deal with this non-linear and multi-parallel universe by jumping from image to abstraction and sometimes new media to provide a quantitative dimension to my work! We are in the middle and late stages today, and the main problem is not the medium itself (you can use as many as possible), but the concept and form are handled by inventing a new game rule.

I think the most important thing is to focus on the work and the way I go through the media and between them ...
There is no morality, prejudice, or meaning in the simulation. Like nature, it is just a fact. Art has the same behavior as both reality and simulation!
